4:59pm today is the Summer Solstice.
Midsummer’s Day is June 24th (which also happens to be my mother’s birthday–Happy Birthday, Mom!). Living in Portland, it is hard to believe that we are days away from Midsummer. We have had bouts of warm and sunny days these past couple of months, but they have been few and far between.
Today is living up to expectations. It is warm and bright outside. Tomorrow the Zenger Farm Chicken Cooperative (see video or read the story) is having a potluck complete with a whole roasted pig! I’m hoping that the weather holds out for us. Craig and I plan to ride the Springwater Corridor out to the farm with Karen and McQ and enjoy good food, good company and long summer days.
